Imagine SNOW. Share what comes to your mind immediately. How will you feel if someone shares something about SNOW which is very different from what you shared? What could be the reasons for this difference?

Hearing SNOW, first thing comes to my mind is to make balls with the SNOW and throw at someone. As I experienced the same when I last visited Shimla. But the people out there in Shimla are not so enthusiastic about the snow falls and not interested in spending much time in snow. May be they got used to it and are some kind of bored with the ambience of which we are still amazed.

If someone shares their perspective i will listen to him /her, I'l totally appreciate it as it's their own opinion and i think it will also make me to think in other ways broadening my own perspective. The reason for this difference might be their personal past experiences.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing which comes to my mind when I hear the word SNOW is ICE-CREAM. If someone shares something about SNOW which is different from my thought, I would try to understand their views and appreciate them so that I also get another approach of learning.

The moment I hear the word snow i find myself in a bone chilling place enjoying skiing and making snowballs. With the nostalgic memories of snow white and the movie of the doomed ship "Titanic".

I really appreciate Disney for making such movies which imparts the good values in students by giving great morals and social values which is very important for a healthy development of an ideal student.

ReplyDeleteBy the word SNOW, the first thing came to my mind is the Lance Naik Hanuman Thapa who sacrificed his life for the country in the Siachen Glacier. I definitely appreciate if someone who shared their thought different from me. It will be because of their own perception and thinking.

When I imagine SNOW the first thing that comes to my mind is the soft snow falling down on the Earth, on every thing on the Earth. During my childhood days we used to have snow falls in winter in Kalimpong (Lava - my birth place) .
Looking beautiful everywhere, making people happy of every stages,so pure and spreading peace everywhere. It's so beautiful that not only human, but even the trees, animals and birds would smile with the coming of the soft beautiful SNOW on the earth.
Yes, I would definitely appreciate and welcome the feelings of others' regarding SNOW . Because differences is always there with every individual and it's you how you react or accept.
My first thought of snow at once remined me of my journey of gulmarg Kashmir. I haven't seen falling snow before that. The taxi driver of our taxi was describing about the snowfall. He told us look sir outside the window of the taxi that snow is falling down. We were not able to see it at the start. But as we moved upwards towards gulmarg we saw snow falling down as soft and white as cotton was dropping down.And at the adventure place which was at height we played with snow balls.as well as I ate raw snow. Even today if somebody says snow .it takes me back in my memories of gulmarg. And I wish to visit that place again and again.

When I think about the snow. It reflect in my mind that it should be a hill station that is very higher than the sea level and the climate of that place is colder than normal places. Difference between some others thought and me somewhat different the reason of the difference is they told me that the snow means normally eyes or foggy type of area. The only reason is that I had personally visited this type of place earlier

ReplyDeleteSnow brings the image of calm serenity. Its whiteness gives the sense of purity. But for another person, it can be equated with cold temperature leading to health problems. The reason for this difference could be the psychological and social factors that determines his/her thought process.

I Don't see SNOW very often but if somebody say SNOW I rush back to memory lane; when i 1st touch the snow.
SNOW - cool and calm, it changes according to situations i.e. temperature. I mean to say REVERSIBLE. Teacher and students also have to maintain good relation, children are young and a little behind on maturity, their behaviour also change according to situation and their age. At that time teacher should understand them and should not reach to vaporization state of ice. Just like snow can be mould easily into any shape eventually by giving proper temperature and condition, children can also be moulded into any shape by providing proper guidance.

when I imagine Snow the first thought comes to my mind is the Symbolic poem of Robert Frost The Dust of Snow and how the Crow's shaking of snow from it's wings brought a change in his sad , depressed mood and he gets a new ray of hope. Similarly when we are in unhappy state of mind we should shake off these negative feelings and should have a new start.

When ever we talk about snow that means something icy and chill but in the class it is meaningful for our teaching to tell the students the three form of water .only water has all three properties Gas ,Solid and liquid state so we can classify it and increase the knowledge about the science as well

Snow wowwww, this single word create a cool scenes, I close my eyes and start watching the nice snowee hills and cool weather, i expand my arms with chin up and start enjoying the small small snows drops on my face and plams, my mind, body and soul feel so happy, let me enjoys and play in this wow moments, I do not want to come out with this happy feeling.

ReplyDeleteI feel completely normal when one's perspective doesn't match mine regarding snow this is because someone saw snow in movies so he will tell about that snow,someone may got the chance to visit hill station so his experience is different,many has the experience of snowfall so his response is difference.
So difference comes through different old experiences of same thing like here snow is same but perspective is different.

It depend upon the different types of situation and how we feel in that situation. So snow is beneficial or hurdle it is depend upon the where it is present.

ReplyDeleteWhen I heared about "SNOW " my imagination went up to the peaks of Great Himalayas. I imaginate the mountain is like a wise old man with whitish hairs. During the waves of thinking the old man tells me with his white head that PEACE, PEACE, PEACE. (OM SHANTI ). I will appreciate the different opinion and assimilate the different ideas for increasing knowledge. The vision and perspective among people may be different. We will accept all the divergent visions and thinking.

ReplyDeleteFirst thing that comes to the mind about thinking of snow is a cool, nice and pure feeling.
ReplyDeleteAnd also I remembered the way I used to had those colourful barf ke gole in my childhood.
Hearing SNOW, first thing comes to my thought is the Mountains covered with full SNOW.
ReplyDeleteThe word 'Snow' immediately made me to think of Christmas. If someone shares their perspective i will listen to him /her, I'l totally appreciate it as it's their own opinion and i think it will also make me to think in other ways broadening my own perspective. The reason for this difference might be their personal past experiences and If someone tell me the different meaning of snow, I will respect his/her views. Because everyone has his/her own perspective where, I will try to learn something different.

It will remind me the days, I have spent in Ladakh. The people play various games at the time of snowfall. It will also fill my heart with happiness.

ReplyDeleteWhen I hear the word snow my school days will come to my mind. During intervals an ice cream man will come and scratch the ice bars into ice crystals using a blade and make it as a snow ball and pour some food colour sweet flavours in Pink, green and orange colours and sell it to kids... What wonderful days we had!

ReplyDeleteOn hearing the word snow, what comes to my mind is, a cool condition on the earth as well as in minds of people over there. Things are not so bright! But beautiful! Snow capped trees, houses, streets, park benches and even mountains. Another picture that comes to my mind is a vast area of land covered with snow white snow just like a desert! But it need not be the same idea for everyone. Whatever subject it may be, if a person is sharing something different, that is not even in our thoughts, we must try to receive positively from the speaker's perspective. As educators we must try to inculcate this habit into our young minds too.

ReplyDeleteSnow mean I immediately remember the artificial snow world at V.G.P Universal kingdom(amusement Park) at Chennai.... Haven't experienced a real snow before... I felt the experience of playing with artificial snow amazing..... For others say snow means the one seen in the Himachal pradesh mountains.... So I need not look at them awkwardly... Its their perspective.... If they too had the habit of perspective taking they will not misunderstand my point of view

ReplyDeleteSNOW- this word took me to The Himalayas, where the mountains are covered with white smooth snow and continuous fall of snow. Difference of view is due to the difference in perception, past experiences, environment and many reasons. Moreover no two person think alike. This is natural and is referred as individual differences.
