Module 3: Activity 2: Fitness activities

Games, sports and some physical activities that we do in day to day life promote emotional health and well-being. Examples of some activities are 

Indoor activities:  Crawl under tables, Use an object to practice balance, Jumping jacks, Dancing, Yogic activities …. 

Outdoor activities: Climbing a ladder, Jumping, crawling, and walking from one area to another, Zig-zag running between obstacles, Jump over various objects, Walking, ...Share some games, sports and activities, which help in fitness under each column.

      Indoor activities such as ludo, carrom, chess helps us in mental fitness whereas badminton, table tennis, etc. helps in physical fitness.
      In case of outdoor game like cricket, football, volleyball, hockey helps in team building as well as socialising which contribute to both mental and physical fitness. Recreational Activities such as rat and cat, hide and seek promote student's physiological development.

  8. Under INDOOR ACTIVITIES Skipping ropes, Sit ups, Ball catching and we could also make them play some outdoor games like cricket with many restrictions in controlled environment inside room.

    Under OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES apart from Games like Football and Cricket we could also include climbing ropes, Sack races, Jumping races, Throw balls etc

  15. Indoor activities like Tape games: jumping, running, run and stretch, dancing, imitation , mono acting, brain games, puzzles, word search, tambola, snakes and ladders, hop scotch could be done. Outdoor activities like playing hockey, cricket, running, skipping, basketball, volleyball, skating, catch, frisbee etc. Could be done by children which 'll increase their muscle strength.

  53. Being a House Master I always promote my students to perform various sports activities. I not only promote my students to play indoor games but also to play outdoor games. The various games played by my students are given below.
    Indoor games: Chess, Carom, Yoga, Push ups etc
    Outdoor games: cricket, football, volleyball, kabaddi, kho kho, running, relay etc.
    Besides motivating the students for playing various games, I also join them and enjoy playing games with them.

  59. Being a teacher, house master and class teacher, I always encourage my students to play various activities of games and sports. I not only motivate them but also play with them and participate in many of the games and sports activities. I play an important role in arranging inter-house and intra-house sports competitions. My students take a great delight in playing the indoor games such as chess, carom, table tennis and the outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, kho kho, Kabaddi etc.
