सामान्य शिक्षा के साथ व्यावसायिक शिक्षा का एकीकरण स्कूल और उच्च शिक्षा प्रणाली में व्यावसायिक शिक्षा को स्ट्रीम करने से बेहतर विकल्प है। क्योंकि हर बच्चे में जन्मजात कोई ना कोई हुनर होता ही है यदि हम शुरुआत से उसको पहचान कर उसके इस हुनर को निखारने में मदद करे को आगे चलकर वही बच्चा उस काम में बहुत अच्छा कर सकता है और अपने लिए रोजगार के अवसर खोज सकता है

DeleteI fully agree with this statement as our 21 st century learner learns the things with much ease when it's blended in other core subjects. Here,they have the scope of learning with life examples and they can easily correlate the things with their environment. I personally believe that Vocational Education should be the part of general education so that students can synthesize their learning.

ReplyDeleteVocational Education is a medium to know different hobbies of a child. Integration of vocational education with general education is a better option than streaming vocational education in school and higher education system because a skill can be developed better from the beginning. Different vocational courses like painting, craft, vocal, instrumental, dancing, clay modelling,nursing, cooking,interior designing, fashion designing, tailoring, etc. can be introduced from the beginning with age appropriate split up syllabus. Rather than integration it is most important that vocational subjects should be treated at par. Mostly equal weightage is not given to vocational subjects. Highly qualified and specialised teachers should be there to provide the knowledge step by step theoretically as well as practically. Only one or two courses should be introduced in a class. There should be a chance to continue or to replace the vocational courses after three years.

I believe it is a splendid idea to integrate vocational education with general education for that is how it should be. If taught separately it would appear as if it is a different sphere of activity altogether which we know is not true. It is a part of learning process. If integrated with general learning , vocational education will get the paramount importance it deserves from all stakeholders and it will help the students to develop in wholesome personalities, full of confidence and considerably skilled in the field(s) of their choice(s). This is true learning -something that was missing from our education all these years. An individual who is skilled in various field whether he makes a career out of them or not is an asset to the nation!

ReplyDeleteThe training that I got in class 12,in physics practical class about the break up of the circuit when there is overloading of Voltage with the multiple circuit breaker helped me to detect the cause of sudden power cut due to the MCB break up.

Integration of vocational education with general education is really a better option. Every child has some basic interest and skills. If vocational education is integrated with general education, student can recognize his interest during school education and can focus on developing desired skills. Integrating vocational education with general education is better because children will learn the basic foundation with scholastic subjects and then learning vocational education along with it will become easy for them to understand and apply the knowledge for developing skills in it . It is a splendid idea to integrate vocational education with general education. If taught separately it would appear as if it is a different sphere of activity altogether which we know is not true. It is part of the learning process. If integrated with general learning, vocational education will get the paramount importance it deserves from all stakeholders and it will help the students to develop in wholesome personalities, full of confidence and considerably skilled in the field(s) of their choice(s). This is true learning -something that was missing from our education all these years. An individual who is skilled in the various field whether he makes a career out of them or not is an asset to the strong nation.

ReplyDeleteI firmly believe in integerating vocational training with regular training .When a student is of say some 8 years we allow him to play avariety of games ,slowly we come to know in which game he is good same way for studies ,all students are not good in all subjects but within few years of joining school we come to know his aptitude and as parents and teachers try to mould him/her.Same way if different vocational feilds are introduced at early stage it becomes easy to develpo the skill .

Schools must be prepared with trained teachers and National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) compliant curriculum to introduce vocational subjects. Parental counseling is important to convey the need for vocational subjects in the context of present and future jobs. And, children should be given a choice of vocational subjects that could be selected based on their interest and aptitude.

ReplyDeleteIntegrated Vocational Education is desirable provided it satisfies all the criteria needed to make it impactful. Students can in many cases relate theoretical knowledge to practical methods and then identify with real life skills necessary to convert these skills gained into meaningful and productive outcomes. Half baked measures in the absence of infrastucture and lack of trained staff in the school system will just result in a sheer waste of time and manpower with no real learning. Most of all a change in attitude is required in the society which aspires and aims for white collared jobs and consider manual jobs lower than pen and paper office work.

Getting technically sound persons in remote areas and inaccessible areas may deprive us from using certain machines. If VE is integrated with general education , the child will be able to do any repair work or even introduce innovative techniques when he/she grows up. He/she need not depend on others for small repair and maintenance works
