Come to think of it I face a similar situation! Unfortunately my child's trousers had got torn albeit not that frightfully badly! What with lockdown imposed due to COVID 19 spreading with alarming celerity like the tentacles of an octopus it was not advisable to give for darning and that was his favourite trousers you see. So I grabbed the opportunity of trying my hnd at darning! And how I enjoyed doing it! My son's look of sheer wonderment was reward enough and that set me thinking. How useful would it be if he and children like hi become comfortable in such varied tasks besides acquiring the usual academic learning!

ReplyDeleteWe used to have frequent current failure in our locality in the past. Sometimes all the houses were in dark and sometimes only our house was dark. When our house was dark only, I used to check the cutout. If the wire was broken, then I replaced the broken wire with a new one and placed the cutout in its position. Similarly I repair heater also. I put the heater coil in its proper cabinet. I used to check the gas leakage from the cylinder and cleaned gas burners.
