Dramatization, Role Play, Evidences related to the event, information published regarding it may be quite useful to make students understand the historical event. History is also full of learning lessons. So, students should also be able to perceive the ideas related to the event.

Project based teaching – involving – preparation of – 1) teach aids like -Wooden replica of Ashokan pillar, models of various monuments, PowerPoint presentations, story books based on Great Indian Personalities, etc. 2)Map reading and marking The location and labelling on the map will help in understanding the topic as well as develop map skills of the students. 3) Role play , dramatization, street plays 4) field trips 5) The content can be explained by the teacher as facilitator through digital classrooms using Smart-Boards will create interest in the learners for the subject. 6) conduct quizzes, activities, debate-discussion part and written work assigned in the class.

  175. In order to have a holistic understanding of a particular period, we can use newspaper cuttings/ reports, coins, available literature of that period, visuals, stamps or photographs etc.
    Also pictures of artefacts or inscriptions of that period if available, quotes from biographies written about that period etc.
